Naturalization
A foreign national may be allowed to naturalize as a Ghanaian if he or she has a Ghanaian spouse. We are able to make this application on behalf of the client at the Ministry of Immigration by filling a form known as the Registration as a Citizen of Ghana form.

The applicant is required by law to have resided in Ghana by means of a resident permit for a period of at least 7 years and be able to speak at least one (1) local language. Prior to the naturalization of said applicant/client the Ministry of Interior carries out an extensive investigation into the background of the client to ascertain the veracity of the information provided on behalf of the client.

Accordingly, this process is a lengthy one and may take six (6) months to even a year although we are able to fast track the process on our client’s behalf.

Extension of the Visas

We are also able to assist our client to extend or renew their visas i.e. the Entry Visa and Tourist Visa at the Ghana Immigration Service. This process is normally quite straightforward so long as the client can give a reasonable explanation in writing why he/she intends to extend their stay in Ghana. Some of the reasons could be for business reasons, health reasons or for some urgent personal reasons. In most cases such an extension is normally given for a short period of less than one (1) year.
